Clark Farm

A famous historical site in Granby is the Clark Farm.  This colonial house was built in 1826 by the great-grandfather of Mr. E. Thornton Clark.  At the Clark Farm they raised sheep but not anymore.  William Bardwell Clark the son of Erastus fought in the Civil War and was killed in one of the battles before Petersburg.  He lived from 1838-1864.  A long time ago there were many farms in town but now there are a lot more houses than farms.  The Clark Farm is right across from the high school.  It was owned up until recently by the Clark family, but is now owned by a business called The Shabby Sheep.  The surrounding land is still used for farming.
