Five Corners
One of the historic sites in Granby is Five Corners. Many years ago Five Corners was named Moody Corners. Moody Corners had a tavern back in the 1800's and many travelers went there. There were many farms on Five Corners but now there are many stores and it is a busy intersection. The Fuller Farm was at the corner of Pleasant Street on Moody Corners. The Moody family also had farms at Moody Corners. Now Five Corners is very busy and there are not many farms. It is one of the busiest places in town. There is a traffic light it is so busy. In the 1940’s and 1950’s more stores and more business were built at Five Corners like a Texaco Station built by Bill Cloutier in 1940. Bill Cloutier removed both houses to make the Texaco gas station. Five Corners is the town center today. Five Corners is one of the many historic sites in Granby, Massachusetts.
